On the sandy shore of Gunnamatta Bay, these netted fifty metre baths are used all year round by surf, swimming and water polo clubs. Water here is bay water, soft and gentle, which makes it a favourite with small children, and at low tide you can walk the shallows around to Darook Park.
Gunnamatta Park wraps around the baths, big and leafy, with a large playground, covered picnic sheds, barbecues, accessible toilets and a pavilion.
Good to know: five minutes on foot from Cronulla station and the ferry wharf.
