One of the quiet beaches strung along the western, roadless side of Pittwater, where the bush runs straight to the sand and most visitors arrive by kayak or tinnie. Good to know: no facilities at all, which is exactly why it stays lovely.
We are still on the move with this one. Portuguese Beach is on the list for a coming Places We Explore field trip, and until we have stood on its sand the photo above shows Towlers Bay, a little way south along the same shore.
